A Journey through Savannah: Exploring Creekfire RV Resort and Beyond

At 2kidsatheart.com, we're always on the lookout for memorable travel experiences. Recently, we had the pleasure of embarking on a journey to Savannah, Georgia, where we discovered a delightful mix of history, adventure, and culinary delights. Our exploration took us to various attractions, but one highlight of our trip was undoubtedly our stay at Creekfire RV Resort.

Creekfire RV Resort had been on our radar for quite some time, thanks to the rave reviews we'd heard. We were thrilled to secure a reservation, and let me tell you, the resort exceeded all expectations. Nestled amidst picturesque surroundings, Creekfire offered spacious, padded sites complete with fire pits—a perfect setting for cozy evenings under the stars. The resort boasted top-notch facilities, including a lazy river, heated pool, on-site restaurant, and general store. We couldn't resist indulging in a delicious dinner at the restaurant, where I savored a mouthwatering burger. Shelly enjoyed a delightful sugar-free vanilla latte at the adjacent Black Rifle Coffee Shop.

To immerse ourselves in Savannah's rich history, we embarked on a 90-minute trolley tour of the city with Tammy as our knowledgeable guide. Tammy expertly navigated us through Savannah's historic districts, offering insights into its storied past and architectural marvels. The tour provided a fascinating glimpse into Savannah's heritage and helped us uncover hidden gems like the life-size dinosaur exhibit at the JW Marriott—a discovery we wouldn't have made otherwise.

Inspired by our tour, we decided to delve deeper into Savannah's eerie folklore by joining a ghost tour later that evening. Led by the captivating Valentina, the Ghosts and Gravestones tour promised spine-chilling tales and eerie encounters. While we didn't encounter any actual gravestones, the tour offered a spine-tingling journey through Savannah's shadowy past, culminating in a visit to the hauntingly beautiful Low House on River Street.

No visit to Savannah would be complete without sampling its culinary delights, and the Pirate's House beckoned with its tantalizing menu and rich history. We savored delectable appetizers like corn cakes and blackened shrimp before indulging in hearty mains. While our entrees didn't quite match the stellar start, the overall experience was a memorable one, steeped in Savannah's seafaring lore.

Our culinary escapades continued at Fiddlers Crab House and Oyster Bar, where we relished succulent local oysters and savory shrimp and grits—a true Southern delicacy. The flavors were sublime, leaving us craving for more.

Venturing beyond Savannah, we made a brief stop at Wormsloe State Park to admire its iconic tree-lined entrance—an Instagram-worthy sight that captured the essence of Georgia's natural beauty. Our journey culminated with a visit to Tybee Island, where we savored Mexican cuisine and marveled at the picturesque Tybee Lighthouse.

As our trip drew to a close, we reflected on the rich tapestry of experiences Savannah had to offer. From tranquil RV getaways to spine-tingling ghost tours and culinary delights, Savannah had captured our hearts with its charm and allure. As we bid farewell to this enchanting city, we carried with us memories that would last a lifetime, eager to embark on our next adventure.
